Terarossa Lodge Friesian Horses

& Golden Retrievers

It is with great saddeness that we announce the passing of our beloved stallion Werby in March 2013.  he fought for two months to stay  with us after breaking his fetlock but in the end the damaged could not be repaired. You will be missed always gentle boy.

Pure bred imported Friesian stallion.  Sired by the great Anton 343. He stands at 16.1hh and is of classic/modern build.  His mane is more than a metre long and this trait he is likely to pass on to his offspring.  His most endearing quality however is his temperament.  He is extremely quiet and easy to handle and a joy to ride.

Werby had a very exciting start to his show career in 2010. He won Champion or Reserve Champion at every show he competed in only getting Res Champ to our mare Frelle. He did this in both led and ridden classes. He competed not only in friesian classes but also in the open hack ring in the show hunter division. He also competed in Adult Riding Club classes and open stallion classes. Always bringing home a Champion Ribbon. He will continue with his show career again this spring. We are also hoping to compete at the Summer Royal as well. Werby missed out on going this year due to mare serving committments.  Werby continued his Champion winning ways in 2011, bringing home a Champion ribbon in both ridden and led classes at every show competed in.  This included winning Reserve Champion Ridden Friesian at the 2012 Melbourne Royal. In May 2012, Werby was announced the ANZFHS Hipoint winner for Show Stallion in hand and Ridden Friesian show horse. He was also entered into the Roll of Merit for Showing.
